The Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo was first held in 1979 to mark the visit of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother to Nova Scotia for the International Gathering of the Clans.  The word ‘tattoo’ comes from a drumbeat in 17th-18th century Holland, when, to summon British troops back to barracks.

This 4 day getaway includes an orientation tour of Halifax, a day trip to Peggy’s Cove and Lunenburg, a visit to Gaspereau Winery in the Annapolis Valley and tickets to the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo.

If you have never been to a Royal International Tattoo, this is one of the largest, longest-running and exciting shows in history!
