The Canadian Rockies—a land of majestic mountains, fascinating wildlife, sparkling glaciers, crystal-clear lakes, and interesting towns. If you want to see breathtaking scenery and jagged mountain peaks, this Canadian Rockies escape is for you.

The Canadian Rockies are the crowning jewels of our country. There’s no such thing as a dull moment. Every mile, every valley, and every mountain top is different and each has its own captured beauty.

Itinerary Details

Day 1  Flight to Calgary, AB

The day begins with a flight to Calgary, Alberta.   Here we meet the Tour Director and Motorcoach, for a shuttle into the city.   This evening we gather together for a group dinner.  (D)

Day 2  Banff, AB

Breakfast is included this morning before we head to Heritage Park. We tour this facility for real life examples of the life during the late 19th century in a Western Canadian town followed by a guided city tour to see the “new” Calgary and learn more how this city became what it is today.  Later today you pass through Kananaskis country and enter the beautiful Banff National Park.  (B)

Day 3  Banff, AB

This morning will be a relaxing morning as we board the tour boat for a cruise around Lake Minnewanka.   The mountains appear to rise up all around you making for exceptional photo opportunities.  This afternoon we view the beautiful mountains from a completely different angle, as we ride the Gondola to the top of Sulphur Mountain.   A simply tremendous view!  (B)

Day 4  Revelstoke, B.C.

Continuing into the heart of the Rocky Mountains, it is time to visit Lake Louise.  Lake Louise is world famous for the vivid turquoise of its waters, the Victoria Glacier and the soaring mountain backdrop.  This afternoon you visit the Revelstoke Railway Museum. Discover Canada’s history and railway heritage.  (B,D)

Day 5  Merritt, B.C.

Our journey takes us through the Okanagan Valley this morning, with its rich and fertile farm lands that surround the large lake. The area is known for is wineries and fruit orchards.  You day includes a tour of the famous wineries and an included Lunch.   Tonight, we overnight in cattle ranching country in the community known as Merritt.   (B,L)

Day 6  Victoria, B.C.

The scenery in western Canadian never disappoints and today will be no different! Today you travel to the mighty Fraser River and famous Fraser Canyon.   Once aboard the Airtram, you descend into the canyon, referred to as “Hell’s Gate” [ Simon Fraser in 1808 ].   The depths of Hell’s Gate will be our lunch stop today.   This afternoon we head on to the B.C. Ferry Dock at North Sidney, where we board the ferry to Vancouver Island.   You will certainly be charmed as the ferry winds its way through the many islands, before docking in the charming community of Sidney.   From here a short drive aboard the motorcoach brings us into downtown Victoria. Day 7  Victoria, B.C.

With our central, downtown accommodations in Victoria, you have easy access to the Inner Harbour area.   Your day begins with a guided city tour of Victoria, before you enjoy a free afternoon in Victoria.   Maybe High Tea at the Empress Hotel or perhaps the Royal B.C. Museum that preserves and shares the stories of the First Peoples.  The possibilities are endless to enjoy this afternoon.  (B)

Day 8  Vancouver, B.C.

This morning we visit the famous Butchart Gardens offering a delight for your senses of both sight and smell!   Now a designated National Historic site, Butchart Gardens boasts 55 acres of amazing gardens that have been delighting visitors since the early 1900’s.   This afternoon we board the ferry to return to the great coastal city of Vancouver.  (B)

Day 9  Vancouver, B.C.

Your day begins with a locally guided tour of Vancouver seeing the unique sights of Gastown, Stanley Park, Chinatown and much more.  This afternoon, you visit the Capilano Suspension Bridge, before returning to the hotel to freshen up for a final evening Dinner together as a group! (B,D)

Day 10  Vancouver to Ottawa

Today we bid farewell to the amazing scenery of Canada’s West Coast and board our flight home.   (B)
