DAY 1 VANCOUVER – Direct flights from Ottawa

Arrive in Vancouver and spend time exploring this scenic
city at your own leisure. Make your own way to the Vancouver
Lookout, which is conveniently located downtown. Enjoy
panoramic 360 degree unobstructed views of the city.

Overnight in Vancouver.

PAN PACIFIC VANCOUVER

DAY 2 VANCOUVER TO KAMLOOPS

GOLDLEAF SERVICE Departing the coastal city of Vancouver, Rocky Mountaineer will take you east through the banks of the Fraser River to Kamloops, located in the heart of British Columbia’s interior. On today’s journey, you will see dramatic changes in scenery, from the lush fields of the Fraser Valley, to the forests and winding river canyons of the Coast and Cascade Mountains, and ending in the desert-like environment of the BC Interior. Upon arrival at the Kamloops Station, you will be transferred by motorcoach to your overnight accommodation. The pick-up time for tomorrow morning’s motorcoach transfer to the train station will be posted in the lobby of your hotel.

DAY 3 KAMLOOPS TO JASPER

Your journey continues to the majestic Canadian Rockies and Jasper National Park. Highlights include the Fraser River, the Rocky Mountain Trench, Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies, and Yellowhead Pass. Overnight in Jasper. (B, L )

DAY 4 JASPER

Enjoy a half-day sightseeing tour of the town of Jasper. Highlights of today’s tour includes Maligne Canyon, Pyramid Lake and Patricia Lake. Overnight in Jasper. (B, D ) DAY 5 JASPER TO BANFF
RIMROCK RESORT Travel to Banff via one of the most scenic highways in the world, the Icefields Parkway. A stop will be made at Athabasca Falls before arriving at the Columbia Icefield. Here you will ride on an Ice Explorer to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier to learn more about is geological features. Your driver/guide will explain how glaciers are formed and point out some interesting geological features. Time will be available for lunch (not included). Afterward, a brief stop will be made at Bow Lake before arriving at Banff via Lake Louise late this afternoon. Overnight in Banff. (B)

DAY 5  JASPER TO BANFF 

RIMROCK RESORT Travel to Banff via one of the most scenic highways in the world, the Icefields Parkway. A stop will be made at Athabasca Falls before arriving at the Columbia Icefield. Here you will ride on an Ice Explorer to the middle of the Athabasca Glacier to learn more about is geological features. Your driver/guide will explain how glaciers are formed and point out some interesting geological features. Time will be available for lunch (not included). DAY 6  BANFF

Experience Yoho National Park where you will visit Emerald Lake and the Spiral Tunnels, before spending time at Lake Louise. Return to Banff. Overnight in Banff. (B)

BANFF RIMROCK RESORT

DAY 7 BANFF TO CALGARY

Begin the morning with a sightseeing tour of Banff. Among the points of interest are Bow Falls, Lake Minnewanka, Surprise Corner and the Hoodoos. Banff Gondola included. Continue on to Kananaskis for the highlight of today’s adventure, a 12-minute Panoramic Helicopter Tour over the remarkable landscape of the Rockies. Overnight in Calgary. (B)
