This is a Washington tour that STAYS in the heart of Washington DC near The White House and within walking proximity of The National Mall, the US Capitol Building, Union Station and The Smithsonian. Spring is known for the annual Cherry Blossom Festival when Washington showcases the beautiful gift from the city of Tokyo of 3,000 cherry trees. With over 200 cultural performances and a multitude of other special events, it is an exciting time to be in Washington. The parade on Saturday with reserved seats will be a highlight feature which runs for 10 blocks along iconic Constitution Avenue.
We will tour the city with a local step on guide and showcase many top attractions such as; The Washington Monument and Lincoln, Vietnam Veterans, World War and Korean War Veterans Memorials. A visit with entrance and trolley tour at Arlington Cemetery and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier as well as the Kennedy family burial place just over the DC border in Virginia.
